Have you always wanted to try a ski tour? Now is your chance!

Our introductory ski tour is perfect for anyone who wants to venture off-piste for the first time. In just 4 hours you’ll get a first glimpse into the world of ski touring – from the technique of ascending to descending in the terrain. No prior experience in deep snow necessary – you should just be able to confidently ski red slopes in parallel.

What to expect:
Learn how to walk set tracks properly
Get to know properly use equipment
First experience with avalanche equipment
Mix of off-piste on-piste descent
Final stop at a mountain hut!

Tour Schedule

📍 Meeting point:09:00 AM | Maiskogelbahn, Kaprun(every Sunday from 15.12.2024)

Welcome equipment check
– Properly adjusting skis, bindings, skins poles
– Avalanche transceiver (LVS) safety check

Ascent technique training
– Proper walking, pole use kick turns
– Handling climbing aids setting tracks in the terrain

Break with time for questions
– Everything you want to know about ski touring

Descent with touring skis
– First descent in the terrain adjusting to the equipment
– Combination of off-piste on-piste for a safe feeling

Stop at a mountain hut tour conclusion
